Bénéteau First 44 Technical Sheet

The Bénéteau First 44 is a sporty family cruising yacht, unveiled in December 2021 on French magazine ActuNautique.com during an interview with Yann Masselot, the brand's director, at the Paris Boat Show, officially announced in April 2022, and launched at the autumn 2022 boat shows.

The Bénéteau shipyard's range of sports yachts is one of the widest on the market, ranging from 14 to 53 feet. This range is organized into two families of boats, between dayboats (First 14, First 24 and First 27) and cruising yachts (First 36, First 44 and First Yacht 53).

Positioned between the Bénéteau First 36 and Bénéteau First Yacht 53, the Bénéteau First 44 logically reinforces this range, in which there was previously a gap, due to the size difference between the two models in the catalog.

Signed by the naval architect Roberto Biscontini, and the designer Lorenzo Argento, the Bénéteau First 44 declines the concept of Bénéteau sport cruising yacht discovered first on the Bénéteau First 53, then at the beginning of 2022 on the Bénéteau First 36.

The Bénéteau First 44 measures 14.15m in overall length in the standard version, for 14.65m in the performance version, i.e. a hull length of 13.15m. The beam of the Bénéteau First 44 is 4.25m and its draft from 2.15m to 2.50m, depending on the version. The draft of the Bénéteau First 44 is 19.50m.

The light displacement of the Bénéteau First 44 is 9.8 tons.

The Bénéteau First 44 is available in 2 deck plans, one more typical fast cruising (German style controls located in front of the helm stations), and the second more typical racing and regatta (controls distributed between the helm stations and down). The Bénéteau First 44 seems to be equipped with a dinghy garage.

The Bénéteau First is available with 2 types of rigging, standard aluminum mast, or optional carbon mast, the latter measuring 1.8m longer than the former.

Inside, the layout of the Bénéteau First 44 is organized around 3 double cabins and two bathrooms.
