Luxury catamaran builder Sunreef is exhibiting three of its extraordinary energy-sufficient yachts in the Eco range.
This range includes yachts with the largest photovoltaic electricity production capacity on the market, thanks to the lamination of cells directly into the planking, roof, mast and boom of these beautiful catamarans.
The Sunreef 60 Eco, Sunreef 70 Eco and Sunreef 80 Eco made the trip from Gdansk, as did the brand new Sunreef 80 Power Eco hybrid electro-solar powercat.
Fountaine-Pajot will be exhibiting an Aura 51 Smart Electric, a boat we tested earlier this summer. This appears to be the only hybrid presented by the Rochelais company, which at the time of writing has three in its range (Aura 51, Samana 59 and Elba 45) and is at the forefront of this field.
The smaller French builders are not to be outdone, with the Windelo 50 Yachting, powered by a series of hybrid engines (BellMarine engines), a fast, eco-built catamaran that is proving a great success, as well as the Leen 56 Hybrid, a powerboat whose Neel version as a sailing yacht should not be long in coming...
HH Catamaran has sent a cargo shipment of an HH44 parallel hybrid, a boat that combines the autonomy of diesel with the silence of electric, a boat that we'll be sure to try out.
Finally, as for the electric or hybrid monohulls physically present at the show, Dream yacht Worldwide will be exhibiting a Dufour 530 Smart Electric (Fountaine-Pajot group), which we will have the opportunity to test.
Last but not least, Nyumba, a large 29-metre sloop from Southern Winds, will feature hybrid electric propulsion.
