The hulls of the Lagoon 38, which are particularly voluminous at the front, allow for spacious cabins with generous sleeping areas. Two versions are available: an owner's configuration with three cabins, including a private bathroom with separate shower at the rear, and a charter version, which includes four cabins and two spacious bathrooms, one per hull.
The cockpit and interior saloon are connected by a wide sliding door, allowing for fluid movement between the spaces. The dining areas are designed for flexible use, with adjustable modules that allow the table to be transformed as needed, from a small coffee table to a large table seating up to ten guests. The galley, positioned lengthways at the front of the saloon, offers a generous worktop and plenty of storage space. Thanks to a wide strip of glazing all around the cabin, the interior light is maximised, with a panoramic view of the outside.
The steering position, located raised on the starboard side, is accessible via a staircase from the cockpit. All the sheets, halyards and manoeuvres are centralised there for simplified navigation. Unlike the Lagoon 43, the Lagoon 38 does not have a mainsail track, but uses two separate anchor points for adjusting the sails. The front of the boat has a sunbathing area, and cushions can be added to the cabin roof to provide an additional relaxation area.
The rigging is designed to be efficient and accessible. The mast is set back, allowing for a self-tacking jib, making manoeuvres easier. A square-top mainsail ensures good performance, while an optional code zero improves downwind speeds.
The Lagoon 38 will be officially presented at the International Multihull Boat Show in La Grande-Motte at the end of April. Its base price is around 410,000 euros including VAT in France.
On the market, the new Lagoon 38 is positioned in particular against the Bali Catsmart, the Excess 11, the Fountaine-Pajot New 41, the Aventura 37, the C-CAT 38, etc.
