BRP sells Alumacraft to Bryton Marine Group

And that's two! In the space of just two days, the Canadian BRP has announced the sale of a second brand of pleasure boat, Alumacraft today, and... Telwater yesterday!

BRP sells Alumacraft to Bryton Marine Group

BRP Inc has entered into a sales agreement with Bryton Marine Group to transfer the assets of its Alumacraft brand, specialising in aluminium fishing boats. This sale is part of BRP's strategy to refocus on its core recreational vehicle business while divesting its marine division. The Bryton Marine Group, based in British Columbia, has acquired the Alumacraft brand and production plant in St. Peter, Minnesota, as well as all associated assets.

Bryton Marine Group is a family-owned company that manufactures a wide range of aluminium boats for various segments, including recreational fishing, the commercial and government markets. The acquisition of the Alumacraft brand represents a significant expansion for the company, strengthening its presence in North America and supporting its long-term growth objectives. According to Bryton Marine CEO Byron Bolton, this acquisition will complement Bryton's portfolio of brands, including already well-established names such as Kingfisher, Eaglecraft and Weldcraft, while providing an opportunity to develop the legacy of Alumacraft on a global scale.

With over 75 years of history, Alumacraft is an iconic brand in the marine community, and Bryton Marine is delighted to welcome on board its employees and dealers, who have played a key role in the success and reputation of the brand. BRP President José Boisjoli expressed his satisfaction with Actunautique Yachting Art regarding the sale to Bryton Marine, emphasising that the family business has the values and culture necessary to enable Alumacraft to realise its maximum potential.

The sales agreement is expected to be finalised at the end of BRP's first quarter. During this period, the two companies will work together to ensure a smooth and seamless transition. This transaction marks an important step in BRP's divestment process from its marine sector, allowing the company to focus on its core activities while ensuring a promising future for the Alumacraft brand under Bryton Marine's leadership.
