The new Krogen 60 Open unveiled at the 2025 Palm Beach International Boat Show

Founded in 1976, the Kadey-Krogen Yachts shipyard, based in Stuart, Florida, is a renowned builder of full-displacement motor yachts, specialising in the design of deep-sea cruising trawlers. The brand's philosophy is based on comfort, safety and the ability to cross oceans in complete safety. With almost fifty years of expertise, Kadey-Krogen Yachts stands out for its craftsmanship and its commitment to offering customisable boats that combine luxury and performance.

The Palm Beach International Boat Show will be the occasion for the shipyard to unveil its largest model to date, the Krogen 60 Open trawler.

This launch marks a major milestone in the history of the company, which is celebrating 49 years of existence. The Krogen 60 Open aims to facilitate offshore sailing, combining efficiency, smooth sailing, craftsmanship and personalisation. Built on Kadey-Krogen's exclusive displacement hull technology, this model embodies the brand's philosophy, offering a sturdy, comfortable yacht designed for long crossings.

With semi-custom interiors, each Krogen 60 Open is tailored to the individual preferences of its owner, while respecting the brand's own standards of finish and quality. The spacious living areas, high-end materials and attention to detail make it a benchmark in the market for yachts under 70 feet.

Tucker West, president of the Kadey-Krogen group, said on Actunautique Yachting Art: ‘We are incredibly proud to present the Krogen 60 Open. This yacht embodies everything we stand for: unparalleled comfort at sea, timeless design and ease of transoceanic navigation. It represents the natural evolution of our brand and the expectations of our customers.’

Inspired by the success of the 50 Open model, this new yacht retains the open-space concept on the main deck, harmoniously merging the lounge, kitchen and wheelhouse. While the very first Krogen 60 Open unit will be on display at the Palm Beach Boat Show, other units are already under construction.

Below deck, a full-beam master suite with en-suite bathroom is positioned amidships, taking full advantage of the Krogen 60 Open's 5.94m beam. Other features include two 200hp John Deere 4045 diesel engines, transoceanic range and a draught of less than 1.80m, allowing easy access to shallow waters. Various layout options are available, including a three-cabin, three-bathroom configuration with a convertible office space. Accommodation for the crew is also provided at the rear of the engine room.

Tucker West concludes: ‘The Krogen 60 Open exemplifies the evolution of our Open series and demonstrates once again the advantages of having an in-house design and engineering team. It is based on our proven expertise, while incorporating our constant drive to innovate and achieve perfection.’
