The Cannes Yachting Festival opens its doors with more than 710 boats on display

The Cannes Yachting Festival launches a new edition on Tuesday, marked by the scale of its offering and the diversity of the players present. Across the city's two ports, 711 boats ranging from 5 to 50 metres in length – sailing boats, catamarans, motor yachts, rigid or semi-rigid hulls – are on display, including nearly 150 new models unveiled as world premieres. Alongside the shipyards, visitors will also discover equipment manufacturers, engine manufacturers and service providers.

According to Sylvie Ernoult, director of the show, the event aims to ‘offer the best possible showcase for each vessel, each brand and each innovation’ while promoting commercial exchanges.

As every year, the show is organised between the Old Port, dedicated to motor boats and equipment manufacturers, and Port Canto, which brings together the world of sailing, large second-hand boats and an area dedicated to nautical ‘toys’. The latter sector will offer daily demonstrations and activities.

At the same time, the ‘Innovation Route’ will showcase around forty exhibitors committed to eco-efficient solutions. Five of them will be honoured with the Innovation Route Awards, presented in the evening.
