Distributors of sailing and motor boats in the Chemins d'Océans Group led by Pierre Trauchessec and Jean-Pierre Frery has a turnover of 24 million euros, and accelerates its development by purchasing the entire capital of the Massif Marine Group (14 million of turnover), a major player in yachting on the French Atlantic shore.

This new acquisition takes place less than two years (November 2015) after the acquisition of Technic Marine by Chemins d'Océans. It allows the Chemins d’Océans Group to position itself as the leading distributor of French pleasure crafts.

Established in 1980, the Massive Marine Group is an exclusive distributor of the Bénéteau and Four Winns brands of Groupe Bénéteau, the world number two of the pleasure craft sector. With five locations, the Group has developed in strategic areas such as the Bay of Quiberon and the Côte d'Azur. It achieved a turnover of almost 14 million Euro in 2016. The exclusivity of its distribution contracts and the port capacity of its catchment areas turn this acquisition into a strategic move for the Chemins d'Océans Group.

The financing of this operation - implemented by Largillière Finance, was carried out by private investors and by a regional banking pool composed of bpifrance Languedoc-Roussillon and Crédit Agricole Languedoc.

Pierre Trauchessec, Chairman of the Chemins d'Océans Group, explained this acquisition on the platform of Yachting Art Magazine: "With this acquisition, our Group reached a significant point in its development project which aims to become a leading player in our industry. New initiatives are already under way to support our growth. The contribution of Largillière Finance has been beyond valuable to realize the operation successfully. Paul Bougnoux and his team have been with us since 2014 in the context of our main operations".

Shamir Razavhoussen, Director of Largillière Finance, said: "We are very proud to accompany the Chemins d'Océans Group that continues to realize its roadmap. This acquisition enables it to develop the business on the Atlantic coast and to strengthen its presence on the Mediterranean coast. The consolidated group represents nearly 40 million € in sales".

Created in 2004, the Chemins d'Océans Group is a leading actor in yachting on the French Mediterranean coast (24 million € in sales before the acquisition of Massif Marine Group). It is the exclusive distributor of the Bénéteau and Lagoon brands of the Bénéteau Group.

Integrated group, it accompanies its customers on a global offer: sale of boats new or used, deck fittings, technical workshop from its two geographical poles (Mediterranean and Atlantic), its 6 concessions and reference sites, from its 8 stores and with the assistance of its close to 90 employees.
